We’ve led growth initiatives at fast-growing B2B SaaS companies.
Our clients are confident in our experience from seeing what works and what doesn’t during our time at companies like HubSpot, Shopify, and Workato. And because we focus on B2B SaaS companies, we continue to learn , iterate, and apply learnings across our clients.
We understand our work co-exists with other marketing and business initiatives and teams.
We can look at the bigger picture of how our work fits in with and potentially augments other channels and campaigns you’re building.
We can also empathize with the challenges of navigating internal team dynamics and getting buy-in with various internal stakeholders. We can also support with communicating the impact of our work together.
We act as thought partners, challenge assumptions, and build together.
Every client brings their own understanding of and ideas for SEO and content. Whether it’s a founder or a VP of marketing, we adapt and meet our clients where they are. We educate, challenge, and collaborate with them to develop and execute a strategy that is most likely to help them succeed.
We solve for real business metrics not vanity metrics.
We look at the overall business impact of our work together. There’s a time and place for measuring vanity metrics (like traffic or search impressions). For example, they could be used as leading indicator as we get a new content and SEO program off the ground. For us, those are inputs to the larger goal of improving key business metrics (qualified leads, pipeline, revenue) .
We hold ourselves accountable.
We insist on building reports (or that clients share their internal reporting) so clients know whether or not we’re generating results. We’re upfront if things aren’t working and how we need to iterate. We have tough conversations and don’t hide behind hand-wavy explanations.
Why folks choose not to work with us
They don’t have foundational messaging or positioning.
Clients are more likely to succeed with us if they’ve built foundation of understanding who they are, what they do, and who they serve. We can amplify clients’ messaging and positioning, but we can’t do that for them.
They want a low-cost vendor to “just do the work.”
We’re not the cheapest option, and we’re clear about that from the first conversation. We believe in the quality of our work and the results we generate for clients. We partner with marketing leaders who are ready to invest time, resources, and trust in a team of experts to help get them where they want to go. We can recommend amazing contractors that would cost less than an agency (though not cheap) until folks are ready to commit to a larger strategic engagement.
They want short-term results.
The desire for short-term results is usually a symptom of needing short-term results. In these cases, we recommend building a paid marketing program before investing in SEO and content. While paid marketing is measured and optimized on a weekly or even daily basis, that isn’t the nature of building an SEO or content program. The true staying power and impact of SEO and content may not be visible for months (though there are exceptions).
They want guaranteed results.
Folks who ask for guaranteed results signal they may not have experience implementing or overseeing SEO or content programs. They may not be ready to invest in a channel like SEO and would benefit more from investing in channels like paid marketing.
They want a “full service” agency.
Some folks want to have all contracted services under one contract and expect one agency to be able to do everything well (paid marketing, social media, email, web design, development graphic design, video, etc.). We believe that’s possible to find, but rare, and it definitely isn’t us. We have an in intense focus on doing what we’re great at: SEO and content for growing B2B software companies.
Let’s work together
We’ve helped B2B software companies turn content and SEO into growth channels. Let’s do the same for you.
Full-service engagements start at $10,000 a month.
